Hi Folks,

actually I was doing a password recovery and I deleted flash:config.txt, and then when I tried to delete /env_vars, I forgot to type the "/" character.

So now the device doesn´t load the image.

what can I do to recover the env_vars?? I another bridge, how can I do to copy from this device to the one that does not have the file??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey there,

You will need to reload the image onto the bridge again. You can use the 10 steps listed in the below url:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps4570/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080184ad5.html#1040300

This will do the trick.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

It's been a long time. I got a doubt here.

The guide you 've pointed to shows up for 1200 series AP. does the same apply to the 1300 series too.

And here the contents of the flash memory have been erased so will the AP lookout for the tftp server upon reboot using the mode button? Since I presume there should be some code in the flash memory of the Bridge that should execute this function.

Thanks in advance,

Karthik Narasimhan

Hi Aaron,

Actually the problem was solved, I was able to get the env_vars from another bridge, and then I upgraded the device, because I the image previously installed had a lot of bugs, one of them intermitent ping response...

so thanks a lot,

have a nice day
