AP aironet 700 not logging in the WLC 4124

AP: CISCO AIR-CAP702i-A-K9

Running flash: ap1g1-rcvk9w8-mx.152-4.JA I have tried to install a new flash via TFTP but can't it still rejecting the image

WLC: 4124

version 3.2.193.5

I have been trying to make the AP work with the WLC:

the AP is not recognizing the WLC with DHCP, I tried to configure it manually adding the primary controller IP and Name in the AP but still nothing.

I know 700 series uses capwap and only works in layer 3.at the moment the WLC is controlling Aironet 1000 series AP's; so once I changed the WLC to transport LWAPP from layer 2 to layer 3 the old APs stop working.

updating the firmware will make the old APs 1020 stop working?

Correct.

The final software support for the 4400 is 7.0.X.  So this means that the 4400 cannot support the AP702.

However, the AP702 can be run using Autonomous IOS.

What is the exact firmware version the WLC is running on, 3.2.193.5?

For the 700 to work, the WLC must be running a minimum of 7.5.102.0.

I'm trying to get the Autonomous Image but the web is asking for a service contract :/ it's the first time I need one of those.

Hi,

AIR-CAP702i-A-K9 : it require 7.5.102.0 SW version on WLC to join.

You need to upgrade it.

Check the compatibility matrix:
