I want to set ip to static.

But it is forced to renew DHCP.

What should I do?

There is logic built into the join process. If the ap using a static does not join the controller, the ap will revert to dhcp. The logic here is that the ap might be on the wrong vlan by mistake, thus allowing the ap to find the controller.

When you statically set the IP address, did you also statically set the IP address for the Wireless Controller?
