Hi,
We have several standalone APs (Cisco 1131) connected to some switches C3560/2960 switches. Three of the APs we cannot ping however we can see them when issuing the "show cdp .." command. Two other APs on the same 2960 switch are working fine with the same configuration. If we change the port of the working AP to the non working AP port we can ping it no problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Did you try clearing the ARP table?
What IOS are the APs running?

Hello Mark,
Can we look at the configuration on the switch.
Also make sure the none-working ports are not error-disabled for some reason.
and on none working ports, do a "shut" / "no shut"
Thanks
Shamal

check sh spanning-tree vlan
If that is not try this
spanning-tree bpdufilter enable on that switchport.

Switchport is in forwarding state
spanning-tree bpdufilter enable didnt make a difference
shut / no shut didnt make a difference
Restarting switch didn't make a different
IOS 12.4 (10b) JA
Any more ideas?

Hi Mark,
I assume you already tried power cycling the switch.
What happens if you change the non working APs to working ports ??
Also try clearing mac address table ( clear mac-address-table ) on the switch and arp table on the Router ( Gateway )
