I was attempting to installed a 1200 series AIR-AP1232AG-A-K9, the unit has a 2.4G and 5G antenna base and a spot to add antennas. The other WAP's I have installed from Cisco always had an antenna included. When I installed it and configured some wireless tablets they worked fine, but when we moved the unit into use and walked 20 feet, we lost all connection to the WAP. Clearly the range should be more than 20 feet. I can not find any information anywhere that says that I need to buy more antennas or even what antennas to get. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yes, we buy antennas seperately. We use the AIR-ANT1728 2.4,5.2 dbi Ceiling Omni w/RP-TNC connectors

The 802.11b/g antenna(s) are sold separately (~US$17.00 each).
Because there are many possible roles for the unit, only the attached 802.11a paddle antenna is included.
Good Luck
