Hi All,
I found that i have to backup 150GB size application file before reimaging to 2.2. But if i take over the network, it takes very long time (in days i guess -for 1 hour, only 500 mb it transfers). Is there any option to speed this process..? Can i directly connect any external hard disks if possible..?
Thanks in advance.

Not really:) I have ran the process after hours and the longest it took was around 8 hours. I don't do an application restore on PI 2.x, I export the maps and import them and build everything else as that is a cleaner safer way. There have been a few post here with doing a restore to PI 2.2, so maybe search for that and see what they have ran into.

In my case it took only less than 1 hr for 96G database. (within a DC that had 10Gbps). Here is the process I followed.

As Scott said, if you go from 1.4.x to 2.2, few issues experience by others & you can refer below thread for details.

Check this link as mentioned earlier.

Further more if you want fast process ,use direct connection of ISE and TFTP on same switch on Gig or fiber ports and then mention the tftp server ip as mention in the link above.
