can AIR-CT5508-HA-K9 be used as a stand alone WLC

Hi Experts,

Recently we had purchased the Cisco AIR-CT5508-HA-K9.

We wanted to know if this can act as a stand-alone WLC instead of having to pair with the other WLC.

Not sure but i think you can use it as standalone WLC.

As per my understanding, there is no license involved for this kind of WLC where in if it is a HA it has to fetch the details from the primary WLC and start using it then.

So how can i go about this.

Yes you are right. Even I have the same understanding but I never tried.

Right Now i dont ahve HA wlc in my lab!
