A client I’m working with is installing Cisco Aironet 1832i access points to provide Wi-Fi in their sites, through a third-party ISP.
I'm interested in whether the Cisco Aironet APs can be configured to log MAC address presence / signal strength data in order to conduct location analysis akin to what Meraki Cisco can do (https://meraki.cisco.com/solutions/location-analytics)?
I'm happy to receive the raw data from the access points but a) would like to know whether this is possible, and b) how I would go about working with my client to configure this.
I should also mention that all MAC address data would be anonymised through hashing.
Thanks.
Will

Hi Will
If the APs are registered to a WLC then you can use CMX (Now being re branded to DNA Spaces) can defiantly do that.
There is an on prem and cloud offering.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/enterprise-networks/dna-spaces/index.html
DNA spaces will also take care of all the mac address hashing for you.
