Hi,
We have the Cisco AIR-AP1261N-A-K9 ...... is this unit compatible with a Wireless LAN controller? If not, can it be upgraded to allow this?

Hi Shane,
Yes, it is. You require min 7.0 software code on your WLC.Refer table 2 of the given reference

If AP is autonomous mode, then you may need to load a recovery image (to convert to LWAP) prior to connect to a WLC. This post may help you on that.

Hi Shane,
Looks like you have got a autonomous access point. But don't worry this can be converted to light weight and can be used with controller based solution.
