Cat 9800 and spectralink 8020/8030 / AVAYA 3641 - does it work?

while migrating from wism2 to cat9800 I also have to move older wifi phones (spectralink 8020, avaya 3641). Phones are running avaya H.323, Controller with firmware 17.03.04a. Test-APs are C9105AXW and AIR-AP1810W

In controller logfiles I can't see anything of trying to connect. Only this error message on phone display:

Anmeldung fehlgeschl
FFFFFFFFFFFF

Is there any chance, to connect these old phones to C9800?

 - The particular German phrase means 'Login failed' which can probably mean a lot of things. You can get more insights by doing client debugging on the 9800 for the particular phone(s) , which is mac based , have a look at  : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/213949-wireless-debugging-and-log-collection-on.html or for instance https://mrncciew.com/2022/07/08/9800-client-troubleshooting/ 

    You can then have the collected debugging analyzed with : https://cway.cisco.com/wireless-debug-analyzer

 It is always useful too for such issues to have the current  configuration of the 9800 checked  with the CLI command : show  tech wireless , have the output analyzed by  https://cway.cisco.com/tools/WirelessAnalyzer/  , please note do not use classical show tech-support (short version) , use the command denoted in green for Wireless Analyzer. Look at the resulting advisories and act accordingly.

However this document : https://support.spectralink.com/sites/default/files/resource_files/721-1000-000_EA.pdf , does not list the spectralink  8020 as being supported on the 9800 controller if you look it up (but the document could not be up to date e.g.) . I couldn't find similar info's for the AVAYA at first glance.

thanks for your replay. 
I tried debugging on MAC of the Phone client ( https://mrncciew.com/2022/07/08/9800-client-troubleshooting/ ), but this MAC-address did not appear, looks like these phones are ignoring aps on C9800. The WLAN/SSID itself works, other devices can connect. I'll try more testing and debugging, but it looks like these old phones do not support C9800 (or vice versa).

Are the phones configured to operate primarily on 2.4 Ghz or 5.0 Ghz?

Thanks, I will try that. But phones run before with the same AIR-AP1810W and other dualband APs with wism2 under 8.5.140 for years with the same configuration
