Do you mean 1262?
They are able to work on a WLC and like I know you can order 1260series with internal antennas, but not sure..

So I guess we have to determine is your talking about a 1262 or maybe a 1142. 1262 only come in with external antennas, the 1142 only come in with internal antennas. Both can be used with or without a WLC but requires you to tftp the autonomous code to the ap. This can happen either way. You can convert autonomous to LWAPP by tftp also.

Agree with Scott.
If you don't want to use antennas then a 1040 or 1140 is what you should be looking for.
If you want something more affordable than the 1040 and 1140, which by the way are 802.11 a/b/g/n, then you may want to look at the old 1130 (802.11 a/b/g only).
