Hi fellow experts,

The customer is looking for solution for AP 1240AG to be powered on by 802.3af non-Cisco switch. What configuration required to make it works?

I have tried to google it, but there is no result about it.

Thanks.

There are so many methods of powering them up.  Power cube, injector and mid-span switches.

Depends on the budget and the need.

The 1240 is already EoS/EoL.  There are many power cubes and injectors currently available in various markets.

Thank you. But the customer is looking for the solution to use their current old AP and non-Cisco PoE switch, without purchasing anything.

By default, the AP should work with any PoE switch that can provide 15.4w of power.
