This 2802i has been installed for about 2 years, is in a remote office and has not caused any trouble.  This morning it went out and is flashing green and red, tried rebooting it and have has no luck it connects with a 2504 WLC (about to change to a 9800WLC)
We have tried new cables, new POE injector. it has a static IP, which oddly can be pinged, but you cannot telnet or SSH to it.

the WLC has IOS Version 8.5.171.0 on it.

Any Idea why it cant find the WLC? Nothing changed on the network.

You may have to connect a console cable. I have had ones fail and you will see an error of not authentic cisco hardware and it will keep it from joining. All we were ever able to do was RMA

If it is flashing red then it means the firmware has crashed.

Turn off the AP for about 10 seconds and power it back on.
