I have an access point that is pretty much unresponsive. The LEDs show Radio=Green, Ethernet=Red and Status=off. Serial cable to console port using hyperterminal shows nothing on the boot. Any help with this is much appreciated.

Cisco has a limited life time warranty on aps. Meaning they will swap out defective devices. Call TAC I dont kmow if this is within the return time frame.

Hi,
Nothing coming up in the CLI? We are using 9600-8-n-1 for the terminal settings ? If so, unplug power to the ap hold down the mode button on the ap, plug back in the ap and hold for 20 seconds and see if you see anything ..

When I tried that, nothing came up, no leds are lit, when I disconnect the power again and plug it back in, it takes two or three seconds and then the ethernet go red and the radio goes green.

Ethernet goes red means you have a bad ethernet cable connected to the power injector.

Cisco Tech Support determined that the unit failed since it wouldn't come up in Hyperterminal on the console port, not much you can do if you cannot reset it.. They are shipping a replacement tomorrow. Many thanks to George!!
