I am having issues with this access point, it seems to be stuck in some sort of loop. Could it be a firmware problem?

Look at the time and date of the logs. It's out of sync.
Is the controller configured with NTP or not?

The AP was fresh out of the box and I couldn't even check the configurations. I never got to the command prompt.

We bought dozens of these AP's and it's the first time we actually have any trouble with 'em.

What WLC version do you have?

We have the same issue with 1815, it was a firmware problem.  Was able to make it work on

8.5.131.0

If still not working, contact TAC and ask for RMA.

WLC is running on version 8.5.135.0

From what I see is that you have the right country code, time, ap talking to wlc. And your WLC code should fix whatever 1815i issue had before.
You might need to have your AP RMA'd, please contact TAC.
