Cisco Aironet 2800 Partnumbers

Hi everybody

in Cisco aironet 2800 datasheet , 2 model of part number exist :

●  AIR-AP2802I-x-K9: Dual-band, controller-based 802.11a/g/n/ac

●  AIR-AP2802I-x-K9C: Dual-band, controller-based 802.11a/g/n/ac, configurable

what difference between these part numbers and what mean configurable ??

Hi Amir,

The K9C option means that the AP can be ordered with mesh k9w8 image preinstalled.

There is no other difference. So if you are going to use it in a mesh environment you will need to order it as K9C.

Hi,

I thinkg AIR-AP2802I-x-K9C comes with the Mobility Express feature (you can use the AP as wireless controller up to 25 APs), while the simple version comes just as LWAP (can be used just with a controller).
