Hi ,

i have one cisco Aironet 350 using Channel one connected to an outdoor OMNI antenna( 12 dbi) Mounted on a tower of 20 meter height and providing connectivity to multiple remote sites ,

i am planning to add another Cisco Aironet 350 in the same headoffice building that will be connected to an antother outdoor OMNI antenna ( 12 dbi) and will be used to connect another remote sites to headoffice for different purpose.

Taking into consideration , that the second Arionet 350 bridge will use a different Channel( Channel 6) , is it possible to mount the second antenna on the same tower ? if yes what should be the minimal distance between both antennas on the same tower ?

if a separate tower must be used for the second antenna , what must be the minimal distance between the two towers in order do not degrade or affect the performance ?

Thanks a lot for your reply

Ali

You can mount both antennas on the same tower. As long as the antennas are (at least) several wavelengths apart (wavelength @ 2.4G is ~5 inches), they should be OK. The farther apart they are, the better.

If you can swing a meter or two between them you'll be fine.

Good Luck

Scott
