Hello all,
I configured an Cisco AP 2702 on the CLI with the following CAPWAP Paramters:
capwap ap ip address 172.21.144.232 255.255.255.0
capwap ap ip default-gateway 172.21.144.254
capwap ap controller ip address 12.149.2.52
Normaly (with other models) it should now try to connect the WLC directly. But on the Console I can only see that the AP tries to resolve the name CISCO-CAPWAP-CONTROLLER. I am doing that because in the environment where I have to install the AP we do not have DHCP. I also cannot configrue the Name in our DNS. So as I explained this is normaly the way it worked so far with 1130, 1240, 1140, 1250, 2600. But now with the 2702 it does not work.
Any idea how I can get this working?

The controller IP address is 12.149.2.52 and the AP IP address is a 17.21.144.0/24? Must be a type-o?
Can the AP ping the controller IP address?

Yes, the IP settings are correct and of course I can ping from the AP to the WLC and vice versa.

Ok, post the complete output for the following commands:
1. WLC: sh sysinfo;
2. WLC: sh time;
3. AP: sh version
