Cisco AP 9136I connected to Cisco 9300L-48PF PoE+ switchport

Hello,

Has anyone worked with Cisco AP 9136I-ROW and Cisco 9300L-48PF-4X-E switches. What was AP power draw?

According to AP deployment guide, the AP will draw 24.4W power from the switchport and still be running with reduced performance. Did the AP work as expected? Or the AP only negotiates 40W+ power?

This will be interesting to know. I know that if the cable run is within 100m the PoE+ should not be an issue.

Note: AP 9136I when connected to Cisco 3850 UPOE switch works perfectly, but when connected to Cisco 3850 PoE+ switch, does not negotiates 24.4W power. Keeps flapping.

Regards,

Girish

Cisco 9300L-48PF-4X-E switch can push PoE+ max. So, AP gets PoE+.

With PoE+, Cisco 9136I AP will work but it'll shut some of it's radios along with USB port as listed below.

As per datasheet, C9136I AP can even be powered with PoE (802.3af) but only for configuration staging, all radios will be turned off.

If I disable the USB of the AP, the power draw is 41.6 wac.
