Hi Every one,
Currently the AP is running with version 8.2.166.0.
Due to changing, I want to connect this AP to new EWC (version: 17.8.0.144) but can't join.
I don't know what is main problem ?

- Ref : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/ewc/16-12/config-guide/ewc_cg_16_12/image_download.html#id_128462 , the EWC-AP might not have the ap image available for this model due to lack of space. Sometimes a tftp server must be used and configured for that (check link) , and then provide the image for the access point on the TFTP server.

Hi Macce1000,
Thanks for your information,
This mean EWC loads new image to AP2802I via TPTP server?
If so, I already processed with your suggestion but it has error with log below:
install_add: START Thu Jun 16 13:55:49 ICT 2022
Downloading file tftp://10.96.157.12/ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF15.tar/C9800-AP-iosxe-wlc.bin

Thanks!

Mostly yes , because usually the EWC does not have sufficient space to hold all the images for the ap's
>...Downloading file tftp://10.96.157.12/ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF15.tar/C9800-AP-iosxe-wlc.bin
- It looks like something in the menus (ref the document that I mentioned) was wrongly configured , because the PATH for the ap-image must not terminate with C9800-AP-iosxe-wlc.bin , and or should be tftp://10.96.157.12/ap3g3-k9w8-tar.153-3.JF15.tar , that at least I would presume. Note however that I am not using that particular wireless infrastructure myself. Therefore review the mentioned document thoroughly and also check/verify the tftp-path/location for the intended file-download. with a tftp client of your own.

Yes something not right there - IOS-XE is only used on the AP running EWC - not needed for a subordinate AP running CAPWAP.
And 2802 cannot run IOS-XE anyway (only the new Catalyst 9xxx APs run EWC).
So I think you've misconfigured something somewhere!
First upgrade the AP manually to 15.3(3)JK7 (8.10.171.0) CAPWAP image
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286304510/type/286288051/release/15.3.3-JK7
Then try the upgrade to 17.8.0.144 either by letting it join and update automatically (you still need to provide the files on the TFTP server) otherwise manually upgrade it yourself before joining it.
The image it needs is https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286304510/type/286288051/release/15.3.3-JPM if you want to upgrade it manually.
If you want it to join and download automatically then the AP image bundle from
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286322988/type/286323077/release/17.8.1 needs to be EXTRACTED on your TFTP server.
