Hello All,
I am setting up a hybrid site where we have several CW9176I access points that will be in meraki and the rest of the cisco infrastructure, switches and firewall, is on prem. One of my CW9176I AP's joined the WLC. How do I go about moving that AP to my Meraki environment? Do I just need to wipe the access point on the controller? Please let me know if you do.
Thank you.
Vicky

You will have to basically do the factory reset of the AP. There are couple of ways to do it. Refer - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/technical-reference/global-use-ap-dg.html#FactoryReset (Section - Factory Reset).
Since your AP has joined the WLC now, you can perform the factory reset via WLC GUI too. Configuration > Wireless > Access Points > Select the AP > Advanced > Select 'Clear All Config' > Clear Config > Update & Apply.

You can also change it from CLI:
9800#ap name MYAP persona meraki ?
force Change AP management-mode forcefully without validations
noprompt Change AP management-mode without any prompt
