Cisco MSE licenses question

Am I correct in that once Cisco MSE will do both location and wIPS at the same time?  As I read it looks like there are co-existence limitations when doing this.  Does anybody know what those limitations are?

Also, do I have to have just the wIPS licenses or do I need licenses for both wIPS and tracking?

I am looking to deply the MSE on a VM.

Thank you.

With MSE 6.0 and later, you  can enable multiple services (CAS and wIPS) simultaneously. Before  Version 6.0, mobility services engines only supported one active service  at a time.

the MSE can do both context aware (or tracking) and wIPS and at the same time.  I've never heard of any limitations when running both together.

CAS and wIPS are would be licensed seperately.

You can license and run CAS only, wIPS only or both CAS and wIPS at the same time.

The only time need seperate MSE instances, is when using wIPS and Analytics, other than that, everything can be on one MSE instance. Like everyone mentioned... It's all individual licenses:)

Installing the MSE Virtual Appliance

MSE virtual appliance is distributed as an Open Virtual Appliance (OVA) image that can be deployed on an ESXi host using the vSphere client. There are two available OVA versions: one version is for a demo image, which requires only 60GB of disk space, and the other version is a generic production image.

The production image distributable assumes a minimum of 500 GB and above of available disk space on the ESXi host datastore. The OVA can be selected and deployed through the vSphere client. Choose File > Deploy OVF Template in order to deploy the template.
