Cisco Prime SSH Issue

Hello Experts,

I can access Cisco Prime vai GUI and Console access but not via SSH.

Connecting to <IP>:22 (press Esc to cancel)...

[SSH] FAIL: <IP>:22 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

What could be the reason!

 - Through console access issue the command , ncs status , check if no problems are reported.

All services are running....

- Make sure your client is not hampered by a local firewall and or try from another platform/os to verify this.

Or simply issue a reboot command on the CLI, maybe the daemon crashed.

i tried that thrice..still no ssh posible.

I have to install and restore it again.

Can you check if ssh is correctly enabled?



For this, open the CLI and enter 'show running'

You should see several lines, important are a correct set gateway, there should be a username be configured with the role admin and the command 'service sshd'.

For example:

interface GigabitEthernet 0

ip address 172.16.20.12 255.255.255.0

ipv6 address autoconfig

!

ip default-gateway 172.16.20.1

!

clock timezone CET

!

ntp server ch.pool.ntp.org

!

username admin password hash jdlkajfdölahfshafdöah role admin

!

service sshd

It didn't work.

I had to install new one and restore the backup.
