Cisco W-Phone 7925G WPA/WPA2

i am trying to configure WPA/WPA2 pre shared key security for the 7925G series wireless phones

and having wism module (4400) as a controller,

controller side i have configured security wpa with encryption tkip........... and wpa2 with aes

laptops connects normally but cisco wireless phone 7925G just show in security configuration

statis wep

leap

peap

eap-tls

etc etc etc

but not showing and wpa or wpa2 security typ

i have attached phone's firmware in attached

please see and give your feed back

that how i can make it work

Have you selected akm ?

Configuring the Pre-shared Key

When using Auto (AKM) with WPA Pre-shared key or WPA2 with Pre-shared key for authentication, you must configure a Passphrase/Pre-shared key in the Wireless Security Credentials area.

Pre-shared Key Formats

The Cisco Unified Wireless IP Phone 7925G supports ASCII and hexadecimal formats. You must use one of these formats when setting up a WPA Pre-shared key:

Hexadecimal

For hexadecimal keys, you must enter 64 hex digits (0-9 and/or A-F); for example, AB123456789CD01234567890EFAB123456789CD01234567890EF3456789C

ASCII

For ASCII keys, you must enter a character string that uses 0-9, A-Z (upper and lower case), including symbols and is from 8 to 63 characters in length; for example, GREG12356789ZXYW

To set up a Pre-shared key in the Wireless Credentials area, follow these steps:

no i didn't select the akm but i saw option on the phone,

from controller side i configure a wlan with wpa/wpa2 tkip/aes seurity with ascii passphrase.

do i need to configure any thing more in wlc or Aps?

my concern is to configure phone side.

as you said if i select and also i saw an option in pnone like auto akm.....

if i select this option then what next i would need to configure to make it work on phone?

For the security part of your question select akm and configure the phone. If you enabled wpa and wpa2 on the WLAN the phone will choose the higher of the two. In this case wpa2.

As for what else to configure .. I don't know your deployment. You should read the 7925 voice deployment guide.
