Hello all

I am trying to know what is a reliable way to convert a clear text string to Ascii value to be put in wpa-psk ascii 7 xxxxx command.

Suppose i want to to convert this 1nt3rnet4ab as my key how do i go about converting it to Ascii characters.

I have found a couple of sites online but when the users put in the key they do not work..

You don't, you just type it in as normal.

The 'ascii' they are referencing isn't the ascii code "http://www.ascii-code.com"

it just means not in hexedecimal

why bother going through that trouble?

Just put the PSK in as 'ascii 0'

So long as service-password encryption is enabled the AP will obscure the password to casual view in the AP configuration.

Though there a lot of tools out there that decrypt a cisco level 7 password.
