Hi,

AIR-CTVM-K9 supports running 8.10.X codes, therefor you should be able to add any latest Wifi6 supported APs such as 9105, 9115, 9120 or 9130.If you are not running 8.10.X then refer to below document for TAC recommended AireOS for WLCs and consider upgrading them at the latest.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/wireless-lan-controller-software/200046-tac-recommended-aireos.html

I would suggest adding 9115 which has the next higher capable AP when compared with 1852, obviously 9105 will also do the job, but I would suggest to conduct a RF survey before deciding the AP model and antennas to be used.

For outdoor you need to stick to 1562 as new 9124 APs are not supported by your WLC. Again do a proper site survey to decide the 1562 variant and the antennas for that. Also make sure your switching infra capable of providing POE for these APs if not order POE injectors accordingly.

 - General compatibility info's are available in https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html , note that the AIR-CTVM-K9 is getting End of Life : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/virtual-wireless-controller/eos-eol-notice-c51-744428.html , you may want to consider migrating to the new 9800 based solutions which also includes a virtual controller ,

Madam, it all depends , in Riemann geometries the earth can be perfectly flat! The nun thanked him , he tripped and fell forward : the poor animal had forgotten that he might be living in a Riemann geometry too!

Stop using or acquiring 1800-series APs because it has a high hardware failure rate.
