Configurar Cisco Aironet 1702i de lightweight mode a autonomous

Buenas,

Me apunté a un curso Cisco para mejorar en mí trabajo, compré un Switch L3, el cual tengo ya bien trapicheado, pero un AP, no he sido capaz de poder hacer nada con él.

Se trata de un Cisco Aironet 1702i, en concreto el Air-cap1702i-e-k9,

He observado, que:

Entiendo que tiene ambas IOS, la k9w8 y la k9w7, pero siempre arranca por la k9w8 y no he sido capaz de eliminarla o forzar el arranque por la otra.

¿Como puedo conseguir cambiar a Autonomo este AP y así poder aprender a configurarlo sin necesidad de un WLC?

Hola

Antes de iniciar, trata de entrar en modo rommon (ap:) y cambia los parametros de inicio o booting.

ap: set BOOT flash:/ap3g2-k9w7-mx.153-3.JAB/(imagen .bin)

Si te fijas el nombre: ap3g2-k9w7-mx.153-3.JAB es DRWX osea un directorio, dentro de ese directorio debe estar una imagen con extencion .bin.

Esto lo puedes ver a través de:

dir flash:/ap3g2-k9w7-mx.153-3.JAB

Ahora bien revisa que tenga imagen, si no funciona o inicia con el procedimiento previo puede ser que la imagen este corrupta. 

Otra forma de que el AP cargue con la imagen K7 es borrando siempre desde rommon el IOS K8.

Tal y como indicas, son dos carpetas, una llamada “ap3g2-rcvk9w8-mx” y la que me interesa, que se llama “ap3g2-k9w7-mx.153-3.JAB”

Lanzo comando “dir” y el resultado es:

Perfecto! me alegra mucho que te haya funcionado. Si la imagen K7 te funciona, te sugiero sacar un backup del ios K8 y K7 y luego remover el K8 para que tengas mas espacio.
