Hello,

Would anyone be able to enlite how to configure a Cisco Catalyst 9300 with built-in WLC using AP AIR-AP2802I-E-K9C, with 2 SSID and with different IPs for each SSID?

Thank you very much,

António

I'm not sure if it works the same as with the Cat 9800, but here is the guide for the 9800:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/16-11/config-guide/b_wl_16_11_cg.html

Make sure to run IOS 16.10 or newer, I suggest 16.12.1 (which should be compatible with WLC code 8.8.125.0). Compatibility matrix:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

The model of switch is C9300-48P and the version is 16.8.1a. When I checkout on Cisco IOS XE release the available IOS XE is 16.9.3, recommended, or the latest 16.9.4 (see attachment).

Another thing, can WLC built-in on Cisco Catalyst 9300 work without a Cisco SD-Access architecture.

See https://community.cisco.com/t5/switching/cisco-catalyst-9300-wifi-controller/td-p/3874924.

Once again, thank you very much.

António

Just scroll down a bit and you'll find 16.11 and 16.12. The 16.9.3 is the recommended by Cisco, because it's already the third release in the 16.9 release tree.

Regarding your other question, I really don't know. I also couldn't find any manual on how to configure the wireless function on the 9300 platform. My previous link was for the 9800 platform, in the hope that it works the same.

Hopefully somebody else can chime in here, maybe @Rasika Nayanajith or @Leo Laohoo
