Convert AP 1310 to Autonomous AP

Hi all,

I have few 1310 LWAPP access points.I don't have any  WLC and I want to convert it to autonomous AP.

Please advise me how to convert 1310 AP to autonomous AP if anyone knows.

Hi Marce,

Thanks for your quick reply, In the link you sent me mentions converting the AP with the WLC.

I don't have any Controller with me.Could you suggest the steps how to convert the 1310 AP to autonomous without

Controller.

If you follow my guide up to AP Configuration from my blog post https://thewlan.com.au/2016/09/27/configuring-a-cisco-ap-for-site-survey/, it will show you how to convert the AP to autonomous mode without a WLC.

You will need to obtain the autonomous image for the AP model first from Cisco.com, and there might be some support/licencing requirements to do this.

If you get stuck please share a copy of the console log from when you were following the steps in my blog to help identify any issues
