Corrupt U-Boot

Hello,

I'm having an issue with another 9120AXI-B access point.

What's Happening:

  • Bought AP from eBay
  • The AP is stuck in the u-boot
    • I cannot get to the AP login
    • I'm stuck at the ">u-boot" prompt
  • I found these two documents explaining how the AP can get caught in a boot loop and how to resolve the issue
    • Recover from a Boot Loop Caused by Image Corruption on Wave 2 and 11ax Access Points (CSCvx32806)
    • Repair C9120/C9115 Access Points from U-boot
  • I followed the recovery steps, however I keep ending up back at the ">u-boot" prompt

Any suggestions on where to move from here? I'm pretty stuck.

Hey Brad,

This is the only possible way that I can think off to recover the AP - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9120axi-access-point/217537-repairing-c9120-c9115-access-points-from.html
If this does not work, then I think only option left would be replace the HW. Since you purchased it from e-bay, you can't RMA as well.

Like @Saikat Nandy says if the Repair C9120/C9115 Access Points from U-boot process doesn't work then you have faulty hardware which must be replaced.  Return to eBay seller for a refund.
