I'm trying create a template to configure a WLAN on a 9800 WLC. I want the WLAN to have a specific ID. How can I set the WLAN ID in a template?

If it’s not available in the template, then you can’t. Make sure that your PI supports the 9800 that you have.

Scott,

Thanks for the reply. I running ver 3.7.1 which does support the 9800. I'm able to push templates to apply wlan configurations but, I cant set the Wlan ID.

If the option is not there, then that is something you need to either wait for or open a TAC case and suggest a feature request. You can always create the ssid on a controller, take the configuration for that specific ssid and then use a cli template to push that out to the 9800’s. That would be the workaround.

Yes, I think I will need to open a TAC.

Thanks,

Someone asked this same question not too long ago. Here is the thread, but you might just want to open a TAC case and see what they say.
