I'm trying to set up the 9120axp running 17.2.1.11 to connect to a new 9800 L_F WLC running 16.12.01.

On the AP Im getting ( Discovery response from MWAR 'HOSTNAME' running version 16.12.1.0 is rejected)..
I have created the wlc management address on the wlc of 10.0.0.2 and the I have the AP connect to a L3 switch with dhcp configured so the AP now has an IP and a default gateway.

Any help you can provide would be gratefully received.

Below is the log for the 9120 AP.

Your AP model requires min software version 16.12.2, therefore you have to upgrade your 9800 first & then try it.
