Hi Everyone,
I have got a couple of configurable Aironet series access points i.e AIR-AP1852I-D-K9C with me. What I wanted to know is, will these access points work when they encounter an existing Cisco WLC 3504 on network. Will they register with the WLC and work as a thin AP. As far as I know, these access points become the master when they fail to locate any existing controller on the network. Just needed some clarificartion here.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

If the controller is loaded with the correct firmware version, yes.
However, the AP must also be loaded with controller-based firmware. If the AP is loaded with ME firmware, then it won't work.
