Enable RMI + RP on an active RP cluster

Hi Guys;

We have a pair of 9800-40 in HA SSO with RP only. When we first installed it was version 16.12.4. We upgraded to ver 17.3.3 patch 4 and want to enable RMI+RP. Which is the correct procedure? Enable RMI+RP under Administration-->Device, assign the corresponding RMI ip addresses, apply and then reload?

Thanks in advance.

My suggestion is to follow the guide and make sure you have everything in place.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Already read the guide for 17.3.x. If someone done it already, please share experience. It is more helpful.

Thanks again.
Regards,

The experience I have had when testing with various code varies. Like what you have stated, you just enable RMI and then reload both controllers for the ip to take affect.  Everyone might have a different experience depending on their setup, model and code.  You always can spin up a few 9809-CL VM’s and go through the changes so that you are comfortable.  If you don’t have any lab controllers, then the 9800-CL’s is the best way to test.  It’s free, you just need to spin them up on the supported hypervisor.
