External Antenna options for Cisco ISR1117-4PLTELA ?
Looking to get some advice on Antennas, we are rolling out Cisco ISR1117-4PLTELA's at our off-site locations to replace our old Cisco Routers... We will now be running 4G as a backup link in the event our primary link fails (we previously used 3G as a backup link on the old devices).
At some sites the coverage can be on the weaker side and we have found on our previous devices that running external antennas really help with coverage (Antenna lpbem-7-27-2sp mounted on top of the comms racks).
What would be a suitable external Antenna option to use on the Cisco ISR1117's? & Is it worth using MIMO antennas? what's the pros/cons on 4G coverage for using non-MIMO antennas?
Apologies if this is not the right area to post this comment & thank you for any assistance.
