FlexConnect APs and Central switching

Hi All,

 

I have a query. Can an AP running in FlexConnect mode run a mix of SSIDs e.g. Corp1 SSID should be locally switched while Corp2 SSID is centrally switched? My understanding is that we can't mix switching either all SSIDs are locally switched (FlexConnect) or they are all centrally switched (CAPWAP tunnel). To achieve a mix we will require two APs one running Flexconnect (local switching) and other running Central switching?

As per my understanding and deployment, you have both in WLC, but we make different AP Groups each mode.

You can mix and match as you wish - we do. 

We have some SSID which are centrally switched and some which are locally switched on the APs.

Yes this is perfectly possible as working as a Flexconnect AP it doesn't mean all traffic will be locally forwarded.
