guest-mode command in 1811W Router

Hi everyone,

Need to confirm purpose of command below

dot11 ssid TEST                             

   vlan 4                                            

   authentication open

   authentication key-management wpa

   guest-mode    ?????

Why we need guest-mode command in above config?

it will broadcast ssid in the beacon.

without using this command if we seach for ssids it will not show SSID name TEST  right?
