Hello,
I am trying to monitor an EWC but I can't get all information on my monitoring server through snmp.
When I perform a snmpwalk I get few informations (look at the txt file attached to this post).
But I want to be able to obtain more information like CPU load, memory used, number of clients joined, list of ap joined, etc...
How that can be possible ?
Thanks
Note: I am using zabbix server

Like @marce1000 implies - Cisco released the 9800/IOS-XE WLC with minimal SNMP support (lacking most of the MIBs which AireOS supported). There are a few other bugs in addition to the one he mentioned for other MIBs. Some will get added over time but Cisco are encouraging people to move to using streaming telemetry instead of SNMP. If you search "cisco 9800 wlc streaming telemetry" you'll find plenty of information. Note https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/214286-managing-catalyst-9800-wireless-controll.html - "in order for PI to gather Access Point (AP) and Client statistics, Netconf is leveraged". Since Cisco's own products are using streaming telemetry to gather that data, SNMP support for the same is not likely to be a high priority.

- FYI : https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvu26309
and or it looks like currently there still are some limitations.

Hello,
I can not configure Streaming Telemetry on EWC
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/ewc/17-10/config-guide/ewc_cg_17_10.html

> I can not configure Streaming Telemetry on EWC
According to all the docs it should support telemetry:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/q-and-a-c67-743152.html
"It is open and programmable, supports streaming telemetry, and is simple to deploy and manage. "
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/embedded-wireless-controller-catalyst-access-points/white-paper-c11-743398.html
"The management interface must be configured and is used for in-band management: web UI, Telnet/SSH Command-Line Interface (CLI), or telemetry and programmable interface with NETCONF/YANG."
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/catalyst-9800-series-wireless-controllers/nb-o6-embded-wrls-cont-ds-cte-en.html
"Network Advantage perpetual licensing options, which cover wireless fundamentals such as 802.1X authentication, Quality of Service (QoS), Plug and Play (PnP), etc., plus telemetry and visibility"
It might require Advantage license?
What exactly is the error you get when trying to configure it?

Just answering another similar question brought me back to this one - telemetry on EWC AP is very limited:
The only network monitoring supported on the Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) is through Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNA) Center. This is done through NETCONF using a propietary protocol for push and pull of configuration or status information.
Note |
Although you can run telemetry commands on EWC, monitoring is only supported through DNA, which is done through NETCONF. |
