How to use/configure 802.11ac in AP3600

Hi, As the datasheet indicates, AP3600 has 802.11ac function. but in WLC, we can see it is "802.11b/g" and "802.11a" instead of "802.11ac"(In WLC, Wireless -----> chose one AP ----> Interface). Do we need to configure it for us to see 802.11ac? Thank you.

Thank you so much for your explanation. So in order to have ac function, we need to hardware support in PC nic, ap and wlc level. On WLC5508 page, go to Wireless -----> choose one of APs -----> Interface. Please see the picture attached. The ap is 3600, the Radio Interface type is 802.11b/g/n and 802.11a/n. If the ap is 1131, Radio Interface type is 802.11b/g and 802.11a, which does not have "n" that is because the AP 1131 do not support "n". but AP3600 can support ac, why we cannot see the ac?

Could just be a visual issue caused by your old WLC release.
But, I just checked the datasheet of the 3600i: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-3600-series/data_sheet_c78-686782.html
It does NOT include 802.11ac, only 802.11n! You require the "Cisco Aironet IEEE 802.11ac Wave 1 Module" to get 802.11ac functionality. I guess you don't have that module?

In addition to the module for 802.11ac, it looks like the power budget for the 3600 to power the added module goes up a little, so 19 watts are needed, which some of the older switches may not support.  Anything with uPoe will, but do check maximums supported by the switch powering the AP.

Sorry, the web site had some issue so that i repeatedly put the same posts.

the below comment is from that link. but I think you might be right. it needs to add some module for ac

" ---Cisco® Aironet 3600 Series is an innovative, modular platform that offers unparalleled investment protection with future module expansion to support incoming 802.11ac clients with 1.3 Gbps rates, or offer comprehensive security and spectrum monitoring and control. "
