Sorry for the simple question,
if I want to see the messages at boot of the 9800-40, is there any BMC (aka for other vendors IPMI/iLO/iDRAC) interface available on the device?
Or just the classic console port where to connect the RS232-to-RJ45 or the newer USB/FTDI-to-RJ45?
I refer to this HW guide
In the guide, both of the port 9 and 10
9 | SP—RJ-45 10/100/1000 management Ethernet port | ||
10 | RP—RJ-45 10/100/1000 redundancy Ethernet port |
of our current setup are already used for the HA, afaik.
Are they supposed to be used in a different way?
Thanks,
Gio

You can use console
Or use mgmt interface with gui.

- By definition (or hardware implementation) the initial boot messages will be confined to the console (port) ; you don't have ILO-like solutions on the 9800 platforms ; in theory terminal server infrastructure could be used to make console lines available on a central 'console' ...

Always use console for the boot up messages, Once WLC configured, you can re-direct the other logs to syslog server.
