Installation Aironet 2602i and Controller 5508, powering of the access points

Hello,

Hello, I have a wireless network to deploy on two floors with the following equipment:

A wireless Controller Cisco 5508 and 4 Aironet 2602i Access Points. Two access points will be installed on each floor. All networks outlets on the two floors converge to a technical room on the first floor. I would like to connect the access points to the network outlets so that they will be connected to the controller 5508 in the technical room. Now there is the problem of powering the access points (which support  POE), how do I proceed?

Sorry for my english

Thank you for any help

Steve,

You can plug the Access Points into a switch (preferably a 3560 or 3750) that support POE. Once the AP is connected to a POE switch then the AP will obtain power from the switch via Ethernet. Hence the acronym POE (Power-Over Ethernet). Hope this helps!
