Interference from surrounding buildings

We have a remote office that is located on the 5-8 floors of a 12 storey building. We used to have a Linksys wireless router on each floor to provide guest wireless access. We recently replaced that with 5 1242 APs on each floor and connected those back to our controller in the main campus.

After a turning it on, we picked up 195 rogue access points. We miscalculated the affect of the neighbouring apartment complex. Now the 2 SSIDs we have there are not useable due to the interference on all g/n and a/n networks.

All the APs are configured to use RRM and dynamic power.

What have some of your experiences been in a situation like this? Should i over-ride the RRM and manually assign channels and power?

thoughts?

1242 AP is dual band. Can all your clients support 5Ghz. If so, could you shut down the 2.4 band. Also, irrespective of the number of rogue APs, are you staff complaining of poor services?

I am sorry. we have 1242's and 1262's. we have two SSIDs (one for the 2.4 and one for the 5).. users are able to connect to the SSIDs but have horrible speeds (0.09mb down) from a 10mb internet link.. we checked the links and they are only 50% utilized.

What encryption type is enabled?
Is WMM allowed?
Do you have a WiFi analysis tool and spectrum analysis tool to investigate performance and interference?
