Issue in Registering cisco AP 2602i with catalyst 3850 wlc

Hi ,

AP: 2602i - software version:15.2.2.JA1

WLC: 3850 -software 3.02.02 SE

AP and WLC are in same subnet, APs are joining but not registering,, error is

*spamApTask0: 1 wcm:  %CAPWAP-3-SPI_TUNNEL_CREATE_ACK_NOT_REC: Dropping  discovery request from AP xxxx.xxxx.xxxx - SPI Tunnel Create Ack not received

Kindly help me in resolving this..

Would be really helpful if you post everything (instead of editing stuff which YOU deem as important).

Post the output to the following commands:

1.  AP:  sh version;

2.  AP:  sh inventory;

3.  AP:  sh ip interface brief; and

4.  I want to see the entire bootup process of the AP and the process of the AP trying to find the controller.

What mode is the 3850 running on?  MA or MC?

Hi Leo,

          First of all thanks for your response.

I sorted out the issue.

things done

a) enabled both the authentication with SSC and  manufacturing mac at the same time (which i tried seperatly earlier).

b) configured IP address for AP again , using CAPWAP commands.

It just joined with 3850 WLC.

and more over WLC is  in  MC mode (convereted from default MA mode)

Do you have the port configured with switchport mode access?

This switch(3850) is connecte to a 2960 poe switch via trunk port.

AP is connected to poe switch port which is in access mode.
