LAP is not broadcasting the SSID

I am doing the default startup configuration , LAPs successfuly joined the WLC( 5508) . The 802.11 radio are all up ,  SSID is broadcasting , however, I an not able to see it.

Can you do a show wlan 1 please? If you have more than 1 AP. is it affecting just this one AP? Is the WLAN potentially running in 802.11a mode only and your client is not 5GHz capable?

Thanks.. it all looks good to me and the code is compatible with the 2800 series. 

What antennas have you attached to the APs seeing as they are External APs?

Hello Ric,

Thank for your reply. Is there a way to check the Antenna from the config or show commands  because I am remotely connected to the site.

Also, I notice the below traps. The radio keep disabling after a while , and I have to enable and disable the radio for it to work again.

You would need someone to take a picture of the AP so you can work out the antennas as it can't be found via commands unfortunately!

I think your problem is this 

Power Type/Mode.................................. PoE/Medium Power (15.4 W)

Your AP requires 802.3at PoE and it is only being provided with 802.3af PoE from the switch.This means the AP does not have enough power to keep all the radios up and shuts down the 5GHz. One option would be to disable the 2.4GHz radio.

Is your SSID 5GHz only?

I would check 802.11a/b network is enabled. "show 802.11a" and "show 802.11b" command verify this.

Also noticed AP in FlexConnect mode, hope you configure switchports as trunk to support it with necessary vlan mapping.

I would suggest 8.2.151.0 code, if you have a chance to upgrade.

Hello Rasika,

From the show command ,I can see 802.11a and 802.11b are enabled. I changed the flex mode on the AP to local mode.
