Hi guys,

May i know what is the latest IOS can be supported by LAP1262? i already read this https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html. but i get confuse with these statement

"The Cisco 1040 Series, 1140 Series, and 1260 Series access points have feature parity with Cisco Wireless Release 8.0. Features introduced in Cisco Wireless Release 8.1 or later are not supported on these access points."

Thanks Mr Leo for the fast reply. Now, if i have a mix type of LAPs. does my LAP1262 (after being flashed with latest IOS base 8.3). will this LAP able to connect with the WLC again if i upgrade my WLC to more higher version(let say 8.5, i have mix type of LAPs in my environment)

Under normal condition, yes.
If the AP was able to join the controller before the upgrade then there's a strong chance the AP will be able to join the controller after the upgrade.

As long as you stay in the 8.3.x train.
IAW 8.4 release notes
In Release 8.4, (and above), the following APs are not supported:
• Cisco Aironet 600 Series OfficeExtend Access Points
• Cisco Aironet 1550 Series Access Points with 64-MB memory
• Cisco Aironet 1040 Series Access Points
• Cisco Aironet 1140 Series Access Points
• Cisco Aironet 1260 Series Access Points

I'm stuck in 8.3 as I have 40 plus oeap602's.
I'm planning on a legacy controller on 8.3 for my 802.11n class equipment
