Looking for SNR guidelines for higher 802.11n (150Mbps and 300Mbps) data rates

Is anyone aware of any guidelines from Cisco and/or observations in the field for 20Mhz (single-channel) 150Mbps 802.11n deployments and 40Mhz (dual-channel) 300Mbps deployments?  Also, if they vary be freq. band (2.4 or 5.0 - not intending to do 40Mhz in 2.4Ghz).

Also, if anyone is aware of any 802.11n design guidelines / planning guides (preferrably from Cisco) with some rough APs per sq. ft. guidelines for generic, indoor carpeted office environment (similar to the 1 AP per 10,000 sq. ft. for light/basic data, and 1 AP per 3,000 sq. ft. for VoWLAN), but for 802.11n that would be appreciated.

No need to remind me about the need to perform a site survey - and I realize that these numbers will stretch based upon the environment - just looking for the guidelines and signal values, if published.

Also, it is understood that different clients may have different sensitivity - no need to go there either

Mostly trying to find some published, rough guidelines values for planning purposes.

Thanks,

John

To clarify, regarding SNR, I am looking for an updated table as shown below that includes higher 802.11n data rates for Data and Voice.

Thank you Nicholas!

That was EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Can you post a link to the CUWSS Quick Reference guide?

It is an eBook availible from Cisco Press ($25) or Amazon.

I will warn you it is a little sparse (96 pages), but there is some good site survey info in it, including some good instructions for WCS and Airmagnet.  Also, if you want to take the CUWSS exam I highly recommend it...
