LWAPP Controller & RRM

Hi,

the LWAPP controller is able to change dynamically the operating frequency of an AP's when it detects to much noises or interferences on the current channel.

My question is:

how does wireless clients get notified of this physical change (freq A --> Freq B ) ?

regards

The clients are always in sync with the controllers. If there is going to be a change in the frequency then the clients will also be informed by the controller before the change actually happens.

The controller tells the APs when they should change channel and how. The 802.11x standards define how APs and client devices determine the channel in use. It's all dynamic, so there's normally nothing to worry about. HOWEVER, in certain circumstances, it's better not to let the controller do certain auto RF functions. It depends what issue you're seeing or what you're doing.
