Max transmission power of only 18dBm available on AIR-CAP3702E-E-K9 with AIR-ANT2524DW-R antennas?

Hi Folks,

I have procured over 50 AIR-CAP3702E-E-K9 with AIR-ANT2524DW-R antennas and set the country code to Qatar. However when I am seeing the maximum tranmission power, its showing the max Tx power is shown only as 18 dBm again 2.4ghz radio. I was expecting it to be shown as around 23 dBm. what could I do to increase the tranmission power beyond 20 dBm?

Hi Muhammed,

Have you tried setting the Antenna gain to 2dBi under the individual AP radio options? This may cause the max power to alter.

Cheers,

Ric

Hi Ric,

Thank you for your valuable response.

Under the antenna parameters section, I do see an option to configure the Antenna gain. For now, it has been reflecting as 0 * 0.5 dbi against 802.11b radio. Was not sure that it was a configurable parameter though :)
As the antenna(AIR-ANT2524DW-R) has a nominal gain of 2 dBi in the 2.4-GHz frequency band and 4 dBi in the 5-GHz frequency band, am I safe to configure it as 4 * 0.5 dbi?

Tried manually assigning this gain by making it 4*0.5 dBi but no luck :(

The maximum power setting will vary by channel and according to individual country regulations. Refer to the product documentation for specific details.

Hi Mohan,

Thanks alot for the prompt response. The document has no mention of -M regulatory domain :(. Mine is "M" regulatory domain
Also could you please forward the same for 1572EAC outdoor Wireless Access Point?
I dont find any document related to 1572EAC Tx Rx Power levels on the internet even after extensive search :(

Best Regards,

Adnan
