ME failover not working

Hello Experts,

I have a 6 of 2802 series APs, out of the 2 APs configured as ME controllers and all works as expected other than failover. The cisco docs state that when an primary AP running the controller goes down then another ME enabled AP(Next preferred ) should takover the controller role and the management ip, config, etc should be passed along with it. This does not appear to be the case for me.

Software version on my APs: 8.5.140.0

Info: force failover is working but there is no sync of mgmt IP and others....

What can be the issue ?

Upgrade the stable version of Software on both ME WLCs and check again.
