Hi I am looking to mesh two 1242 or 2602 access points together. I am in a mine environment which completely decimates 5ghz signals. Therefore I need to connect the two APs using 2.4ghz. Is my only option to buy 1522 APs? I am currently getting an RSSI of -90 from 5ghz antenna to antenna which works some of the time. My antennas use 15dbi gain and are omnidirectional. The Mesh AP moves 180 degrees around the Root.

Only 5 GHz backhaul is possible on all mesh access points except 1522 in which either 2.4 or 5 GHz radio can be configured as a backhaul radio
